Installation

The process of installing cladding to a building, incorporates the application of an outer skin or layer that is applied to the existing structure, for visual, waterproofing and soundproofing effects.

HS RoofClad

Cladding is commonly used for its ability to shield a building from harsh weather conditions, its speedy installation and great thermal qualities – not only this but cladding also gives building owners the opportunity to creatively improve exterior aesthetics.

As cladding is an effective and efficient means of creating a lasting, and aesthetically pleasing building façade, specialists at HS RoofClad have seen an evolution in the range of systems now available. With the industry rapidly expanding over the years, cladding systems have significantly improved, and finished aesthetics are now far superior in quality and finish.

The market for cladding is also experiencing a design revolution, as more and more projects encompassing creative and forward-thinking design to meet the sustainable aspirations of some of the UK’s leading architects.

Cladding Systems

In industrial markets, you will commonly see three types of cladding systems:

  1. Twin Skin Trapezoidal
  2. Composite
  3. Cement Fibre

In commercial markets, you will generally see a wider variety of cladding systems:

  1. Composite Sandwich (AWP)
  2. Rainscreens
  3. Timber
  4. Brick
  5. Stone
  6. Tiles
  7. Aluminium
  8. Polycarbonate
  9. Metal Profile
  10. High Pressure Laminate (HPL)
  11. Traditional hard metals

TIP: it is best practice to have any unidentifiable cement fibre sheeting tested for asbestos.
